It would seem that warmer weather is finally here to stay for the season. Here at Red Barn we are pretty excited as that means countless opportunities for grilling steaks, burgers, hotdogs, chicken, sausages, and more. It also means it’s time to break out the smokers and cook up a brisket. The options are many, and our coolers and freezers are well stocked.   We have been running specials on summer bundles. Ruminations on a Snow Day

I work remotely for Red Barn. I come in here in there to check on orders and get clarification about cuts and such when I need to, but as a general rule, I work from home. Today it snowed. Not a little bit, but a lotta bit. Enough that I woke up without internet, and shortly thereafter lost power. Beef Short Ribs

I have never actually made Beef Short Ribs, but I have watched a bunch of videos and read a lot of recipes about them. We recently had them for sale in our display case at Red Barn, so I figured I’d better do my homework. I also know our bacon is pretty spectacular, so go big or go home, right? Kielbasa, Anyone?

Did you know that we make our own Kielbasa in house? You can come get it fresh or frozen! It goes great in a bun with your favorite toppings, but it also can be used in many dishes. Need some inspiration? Here is a simple yet tasty option for you to try. I’d recommend homemade noodles if you’re feeling up to it, but regular egg noodles will do the trick just fine.
